A Day in Sam's Life

Sam starts/begins/wakes up his day at six thirty. He quickly/briskly/slowly gets dressed and makes/eats/prepares a quick bite to eat. After breakfast, Sam heads/goes/rushes to work. His job is designing websites, which he enjoys/finds challenging.

During his break, Sam listens to music. When his workday is finished, he goes to the gym/plays basketball/watches TV for a while. In the evening, Sam eats dinner and spends time with his family or friends. Before bed, he reads a little. Finally, Sam turns in for the night at around ten/eleven.

One day, Sam decided/chose/wanted to climb/scale/go up the tallest/biggest/highest tree in the yard/garden/park. He didn't/couldn't/wasn't able to see/realize/understand the danger/risk/peril he was in. As he reached/got to/climbed up to the top, the branch/limb/twig broke/snapped/fell. Sam plummeted/fell/crashed to the ground with a loud/sharp/painful thud/sound/crash.

  • Luckily, Sam wasn't/didn't get/sustained any serious/major/critical injuries.
  • But, he learned a valuable lesson/teaching/truth: always listen/heed/pay attention to guidance/advice/warnings from trusted/reliable/responsible people.

From/After/That day on, Sam became much more cautious/careful/thoughtful. He understood/realized/learned the importance/value/significance of being safe/secure/protected.

Sam's New Friend

Sam was experiencing a little down. He wanted to have a new buddy to play with. One day, while he was exploring in the park, he saw something unusual. It was a little animal with colorful feathers. Sam slowly walked over to the creature and asked, "Hello! What's your name?" The creature laughed and told Sam, "You can call me Lily!" And so, Sam made a new mate. They spent the rest of the day laughing together.

Sam was so happy to have found a new friend. He knew that he and Lily would be close buddies forever.
